Gecok Sumbawa

Gecok as known as traditioanl food of sumbawa is very popular among sumbawanese, not only them but also indonesian, how to make it ??, it's so easy. check this out.

ingredients :

1) beef liver  ½ kg
2) beef  ½ kg
3) offal ½ kg
4) cooking oil ¼ bottle
5) coconut ½ item

flavor :


1) onion 1 ons
2) lemongrass 4 stick
3) garlic 5
4) lemon ½
5) chilly 5 piece
6) sour 4
7) chilly rawit 3 unit
8 ) kaffir lime leaves 1 piece
9) hazel nut 5 unit
10) starfruit (belimbing wuluh) 5 item
11) pepper 5 unit
12) sesame 10 tablespoon
13) galingale 1piece


How to make :

1) liver,beef, offal, are boil and cut it into pieces.
2) coconut is scared, and make it as coconut milk,
3) sesame is make into soft
4) pepper, salt, onion, garlic, chilly, hazelnut are mix until it soft after that you stir-fry it, then you put also galingale and lemongrass.
5) coconut milk, and coconut are put into pan, and let it change into thick then you take it off and let it cold, after that you take it again then you put into your pan.
6) onion, red chilly, and kaffir lime leaves are cut into pieces, then you fry it. starfruit is also cut into pieces.
7) beef, liver, offal, and  a half of flavor that you have fried and flavor that have you stir-fry are mix together.
8) this food is decorate with a flavor that you have fried before.

Sepat Sumbawa

This food is come from West Nusatenggara (NTB) in Sumbawa Island, this is a typical food of sumbawanese, sepat also known as popular food in sumbawa, and sepat also likes by a pregnant women in sumbawa because the taste is sourness and they like it so much, on Ramadhan month or fasting month sumbawanese provide sepat as the ritual food for their eating menu. although sepat is very healthy.

ingredient :
-1 pound fresh fish  
-1 Eggplant (burned)
-3 Pecan, (burned)
-5 chili,(burned )
-1 Tomato (burned)
- Salt and tasty pepper , enough.
- A glass of water.
- Chips cowhide (if any).

-basil leaves 
-lemon peel

How to make it :

first :
you have to prepare the tools for mix the ingredient, prepare a mortar , then burn the fish and eggplant  until looks a dark little bit, or a half to rip, after that peeled the black or the dark part from the eggplant,
second:
mix all of the ingredient into the mortar (except the fish ), and shake it. after looks soft put the water into the mortar estimated don't  so much to put the water just estimate it.
finish and you can enjoy this sourness food.
